Tips on how to study the scriptures
“In my judgment, diligently searching to discover connections, patterns, and themes is in part what it means to ‘feast’ upon the words of Christ. This approach can open the floodgates of the spiritual reservoir, enlighten our understanding through His Spirit, and produce a depth of gratitude for the holy scriptures and a degree of spiritual commitment that can be received in no other way.”—David A. Bednar, “A Reservoir of Living Water,” 4 February 2007
Study booklets to enhance your daily scripture study.
Each of the links below contain a handy little booklet makes it easier to check off the scriptures you have studied on each of the topics. The files are PDF. Print it out double sided in landscape mode, fold it in half, and make a booklet (8.5″ x 5.5″). You can also print it out in portrait mode, trim off the top and bottom to make a smaller booklet. There are a couple of ways to bind it, simply staple it down the fold or (my favorite) sew along the fold for a more durable binding. Check on YouTube if you need some ideas or help to make a nice binding.
Scriptures Cited in General Conference
“One of the ways we may know that the warning is from the Lord is that the law of witnesses, authorized witnesses, has been invoked. When the words of prophets seem repetitive, that should rivet our attention and fill our hearts with gratitude to live in such a blessed time.” (Henry B. Eyring, “Finding Safety in Counsel”, April 1997 LDS General Conference)
Each of the links below contain a handy little booklet that contains all the scriptures referenced in General Conference. The files are PDF. Follow the instructions above to print/bind. Note: If passages of scripture are repeated, it is because more than one speaker referenced that passage.
